Our partners...
None of this would have been possible without them!

We are deeply grateful to our long-time partners, with whom we have shared this journey for several years. Their unwavering support has been invaluable, and we want to express our heartfelt thanks to each of them.

Livina Foundation

Livina Foundation, guided by its founder, has been a key partner of Ti Rayons Soleil since 2018.

Initially, the Foundation supported our after-school educational program in Vacoas. Over time, this partnership evolved into something truly special, with us now collaborating on large-scale projects. From academic and nutritional support to co-managing three preschools together, our relationship with Livina Foundation is unique, and there is nothing quite like it. We are immensely grateful for the extraordinary work accomplished every day, thanks to their exceptional support.

Projects carried out with the support of Livina Foundation:
• Administrative support: covering salaries for part of our administrative team
• Nutritional support (for 45 children)
• Establishment and co-management of 3 preschools (including CARE team activities, equipment, and construction work)
• Transportation support with the provision of 2 vans
• Logistical support
• Christmas gifts
• Educational outings

Afrasia Foundation

Our collaboration with Afrasia Bank began in 2015 with a golf training program for children who showed promise in the sport. Over the course of two years, Afrasia Bank provided mentorship and training at golf courses across the island, giving these young talents the opportunity to grow.

This partnership led to the creation of Afrasia School, which opened in January 2018, made possible by the support of the European Union’s Decentralised Cooperation Programme in Mauritius.

Today, our work with Afrasia Foundation continues through a dedicated management committee that focuses on the education of 45 vulnerable children from four neighborhoods in Curepipe, as well as improving the living conditions of their families.

Thanks to the Afrasia Foundation, we have received essential assistance during natural disasters and in urgent situations. Every year, the children are also generously celebrated with holiday gifts.
The foundation’s support has also made it possible for our former students to benefit from the Children University program, which continues to thrive and capture the growing interest of the children.

NSIF

As a key institutional partner, the National Social Inclusion Foundation (NSIF) plays an essential role in Mauritius. Since its establishment, Ti Rayons Soleil has been able to receive CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility)

funds through our registration with this organization, which operates under the Ministry of Social Integration.

In 2020, Ti Rayons Soleil was officially recognized as a “service provider” by the NSIF, which has ensured that our After School program continues to receive consistent funding each year. This partnership guarantees financial stability for projects that impact 160 children, 100 of whom benefit directly from NSIF funds.

The NSIF’s officers conduct thorough field monitoring and regular follow-ups, ensuring meaningful progress and a productive collaboration on the ground.

Since 2008, this project has proven its worth. By providing educational activities and dinner after school, we create opportunities for children to engage in different forms of learning and progress. We focus on addressing the children’s challenges and helping them advance in their studies. Numerous prevention workshops, gardening sessions, and horse therapy activities have allowed us to build a truly unique program.

Key elements of the program include:
• Tracking children’s progress in core subjects and addressing areas of difficulty
• Early referrals to professionals for further support
• Literacy and numeracy support
• Educational games
• Listening sessions
• Fun exercises for learning math and writing
• Educational outings
• Dinner provision
• Parental support programs
• Ongoing social support

Several joint initiatives will empower Ti Rayons Soleil to pursue excellence, especially in two of our core focus areas: ensuring access to quality education for vulnerable children and equipping women facing hardship with the tools they need to build greater independence and resilience.
